About Me
Meet Stavroula Haritou
I am a fully qualified teacher of English to adults. In 2004 I passed the DELTA (Diploma in the English Language Teaching to Adults) issued by the Cambridge ESOL, which equipped me with the necessary expertise to teach adult learners. Since then, I have been teaching only adults mainly in the area of Business English. I am currently cooperating with many companies both local and multinational.
My teaching career started very early. I obtained the CPE certificate (Certificate of Proficiency in English – Cambridge ESOL) in 1989 and got my teaching permit in 1992 when I began teaching young learners. Until 2001 I worked for 3 schools of foreign languages and attended many seminars selected according to my students’ needs. In 2002 I attended the Introductory Methods Course in TEFL in CELT Athens, a course that combined theory and practice in language teaching to young learners.
I am also an individual with wide knowledge since teaching EFL is not the only domain of my studies. I have graduated from TEI Piraeus and hold a bachelor degree in civil engineering (1992). Additionally, in 1993 I received a degree in Piano, with honours, from the NAKAS Conservatory in Athens. These have helped me develop a broad perspective regarding education and people and as a result I am able to build an excellent rapport with individuals of different educational backgrounds and personalities.
